Despite losing to Iowa last weekend, Michigan (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) controls its own destiny in the Big Ten East.
But that’s not enough for Big Ten Network’s Robert Smith to rank the Wolverines as one of the Big Ten’s top three teams. The BTN analyst, who listed Michigan as the best team in the conference last week, ranked the Wolverines fourth Monday, behind Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin.

Part of the reason Smith dropped Michigan from first to fourth was the injury to QB Wilton Speight, who has a broken collarbone.
Michigan plays Indiana on Saturday before heading to Columbus to take on Ohio State.
