9 years ago today, Appalachian State upset No. 5 Michigan

Nine years ago Thursday, FCS power Appalachian State shocked No. 5 Michigan, 34-32. The Mountaineers were a 35-point underdog.
App State took a 28-17 lead to halftime and was up six in the fourth before Mike Hart’s 54-yard run with 4:36 left put the Wolverines ahead for the first time since early in the second quarter.
Julian Rauch kicked a 24-yard field goal to give the Mountaineers a 34-32 lead with 26 seconds left. Corey Lynch then blocked a 37-yard attempt on the final play to seal the first-ever win for an FCS team over a ranked opponent.
