4-star LB Willie Gay is no longer committed to Ole Miss.
Gay announced his decision Monday morning on Twitter. So what does this mean for the Big Ten? Well, Gay was on a Michigan visit this weekend for the Illinois game.
Though the visit was already scheduled, it sounds like the trip went well. The Clarion-Ledger’s Will Sammon reports that Gay “fell in love” during his visit. Sammon also reports Gay is planning to make a final decision on National Signing Day.

In his Monday tweet, Gay thanked the Ole Miss coaches, fans and staff.
“I would like to (thank) all the Ole Miss fans and coaching staff for the love and support these past few months,” Gay wrote. “But after talking with my mom and praying on it I have decided to decommit from the University of Mississippi.”

Land of 10’s Brandon Justice took a photo of Gay during his visit. Justice has previously written that it sounds like Gay wants to come to Michigan but that there may be an issue beyond football.
But Gay’s game fits the Wolverines. Here’s Justice:
His game is prime-time, and fits Michigan’s defensive needs perfectly
