Michigan had at least two scholarships open with the departures of kicker Andrew David and WR Ahmir Mitchell.
So, according to teammates, the Wolverines awarded three former walk-ons with scholarships for 2016.
QB Shane Morris tweeted that QB and holder Garrett Moores, in his fourth year with the program, had gotten one.
Congrats to @gmoores11 on earning a scholarship!!!! possibly the number one holder in the nation…. Just wait on it.
