Even with the Michigan Wolverines closing in on the 2017-18 campaign, coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff are attempting to bolster their roster for the coming seasons.
2019 OT Michael Tarquin, 247Sports‘ No. 13 offensive tackle in his class, went on an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor, Mich. on Tuesday. Brice Marich of TheMichiganInsider.com sat down the Belleville, Fla. native to discuss his thoughts on the program.
“It went great, Tarquin said to The Michigan Insider. “I saw the Big House, campus, and their facilities. I met the majority of the coaching staff including Coach (Jim) Harbaugh, and spent most of my time with Coach (Greg) Frey, and Coach (Tim) Drevno. They just said they love me, and told me what they have to offer. It was great.”
He particularly enjoyed his visit with Tim Drevno, the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, along with Greg Frey, the Wolverines’ tackles, tight ends coach and run game coordinator.
“Talking with Coach Drevno and Coach Frey (was my favorite part),” said Tarquin. “I just liked getting to know them better. I was just surprised about how much I loved the place. I’m just very excited, it is a great place.”
Thus far, Michigan hasn’t received any verbal commitments from 2019 recruits.
