Epps committed to the Crimson Tide in February 2016, but the top recruit hasn’t visited Tuscaloosa since. According to the Austin American-Statesman’s Mike Craven, Epps still has Alabama as his No. 1 school despite the de-commitment:
Fab 55 member Malcolm Epps says he's opened his recruitment but Alabama remains his No. 1 school.

Epps, a 4-star recruit from Dekaney High School (Houston), is the No. 126 overall recruit in the 2018 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is also rated the 13th-best prospect out of Texas.
The Wolverines offered Epps on April 15. He also has offers from Ohio State, Texas, Florida State, LSU and Nebraska.
