“The energy at practice was the most intense that I’ve seen at any university,” Trent wrote.
But at Duke, the Minnesota native could play with friend and fellow 5-star Wendell Carter, who isn’t committed but is heavily favoring the Blue Devils. The two have long talked about playing together, but Trent wrote that “we need the decision to be what’s best for us first.”
Land of 10 Michigan State recruiting reporter Luke Srodulski said this of Trent last week.
Few players in the nation can score as well as Trent, and the Spartans would be thrilled to have him help replace the production that will be lost when Eron Harris graduates. The Spartans will have to beat out Duke to get him, and to help them do so, 5-star forward commit Jaren Jackson will reportedly accompany Trent on his visit.
Here are some of Trent’s highlights. The 6-foot-5 guard transferred to Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif., from basketball power Findlay Prep in Nevada. He played his first two years at Apple Valley in Minnesota, leading his team to a 60-4 record and a state title in 2015.
