Tyler O’Connor already lost a quarterback competition once. It doesn’t look like that will happen again.
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said Monday at a press conference that O’Connor is leading the Spartans’ QB race over junior Damion Terry. Dantonio said he will still let the process play out during training camp.
Dantonio: (QB) Tyler O'Connor is a good leader. Always has been. In QB competition in '13. Not a guy who all of the sudden is just here.

A European sports book posted odds on the QB race last week and made O’Connor a heavy favorite.
O’Connor, a senior, spent the last three season’s as Connor Cook’s backup. He’s 34 of 54 for 374 yards with 4 TDs and 2 INTs in his career.
Terry, a rising junior, hasn’t thrown a pass in his career but has carried 33 times for 130 yards.
