Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell is obviously no longer in high school. But it seems he may be going back for at least one night.
The former Michigan State star agreed to a Twitter bet and lost — even after raising the stakes. A fan tweeted at Bell on Saturday, asking if he would go to prom with her if she got 500 retweets. Bell replied, but upped the total of RTs to 600.
The tweet easily surpassed 1,000, and Bell tweeted that he will follow through on the deal.
“welllll, a deal is a deal,” Bell tweeted. “see youu at your prom.”

As Denver Broncos RB Kapri Bibbs warned Bell, the Steelers running back was likely to lose the bet.

Bell is coming off a season in which he rushed for 1,268 yards and 7 touchdowns while adding 616 yards and a pair of scores receiving. In his four years, Bell has amassed 4,045 yards rushing, another 2,005 yards receiving and 31 total touchdowns in 47 regular-season games.
While at Michigan State, Bell became one of the country’s best running backs. After rushing for 605 yards in 2010 and 948 in 2011, he broke out for 1,793 yards and 12 TDs in 2012. The Steelers drafted Bell in the second round of the 2013 draft.
