“Very proud to announce I will be furthering my athletic and academic career at Michigan State University!!” Samac tweeted. “I want to thank every single school that recruited me, my family, and all my coaches! I would not be where I am today without any of these people! I am so blessed and honored to have this opportunity!!”
Samac, from Mentor, Ohio, is considered a 3-star recruit by 247Sports, but he is not ranked in the 247Sports composite system. He also has offers from Minnesota, Indiana, Vanderbilt and Rutgers, among others.
After Samac’s commitment, the Spartans’ 2019 recruiting class is ranked 21st in the country and fourth in the Big Ten in the 247Sports composite rankings.
