Michigan State hasn’t lost three games in a row since 2009, but that’s what the Spartans are facing when they host Brigham Young on Saturday afternoon.
Michigan State fell to 2-2 with its second straight loss last weekend, 24-21 in overtime at Indiana. Quarterback Tyler O’Connor bounced back from a three-interception game against Wisconsin with a three-touchdown performance against the Hoosiers that included a game-tying touchdown drive in the closing minutes of regulation.
BYU (2-3) is led by senior quarterback Taysom Hill and senior running back Jamaal Williams, who rushed for a school-record 286 yards in a 55-53 win against Toledo last week. The Cougars’ five games have been decided by a total of 11 points.
