Michigan State women’s basketball star Tori Jankoska didn’t wait too long to make history.
The Spartans senior quickly scored eight points on Tuesday night to become Michigan State’s all-time leading scorer. Her corner 3-pointer lifted her past Aerial Powers.
With the 3-pointer, Jankoska reached 1,819 points.
Jankoska needed only seven points to surpass Powers. She scored 14 points in the first quarter alone as Michigan State opened up a 22-14 lead on No. 11 Ohio State.

“I’m not really paying too much attention to (the record), to be honest. I know there’s a lot of people that keep bringing it up,” Jankoska said. “The entire town of Freeland was down here (for Saturday’s game). My mom got like 100-plus tickets.
“It’s been my dream to play at Michigan State and to leave here as the all-time leading scorer. It’s something that’s out of this world to me.”
