Former Delaware State defensive end Gabe Sherrod was originally committed to Syracuse. Now, he’s joining Michigan State.
Sherrod announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon he had committed to Michigan State as a graduate transfer. He is eligible to play immediately and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Sherrod recorded 64 total tackles, 25 tackles for loss and eight sacks last season with the Hornets. He had committed to Syracuse in March, but his commitment was denied by the school in June.
Sherrod should provide much-needed depth in the trenches for the Spartans, who have lost a handful of players at the position this offseason. He joins former Nebraska defensive tackle Kevin Williams as the second defensive lineman to transfer to Michigan State this offseason.
