Michigan State landed one of the nation’s best tight ends on Thursday.
Matt Dotson, a 4-star prospect, has officially committed to the Spartans. Dotson made his announcement in an awesome video on Bleacher Report. In the video, Dotson jukes and wiggles his way past symbolic defenders who were wearing the gear of some of the schools he spurned. After hurdling over a “Penn State” defender into the end zone, the video cuts to Dotson donning the Spartans green and white.

Dotson is rated as the No. 9 tight end nationally in the Class of 2017 and chose Michigan State over Big Ten rivals Penn State and Ohio State. The Cincinnati native gives Mark Dantonio 14 commitments in his 2017 class, which currently ranks 21st in the country and seventh in the Big Ten. Dotson joins 3-star tight end Jack Camper (Bradenton, Fla.) as the tight ends in Michigan State’s class.
