Michigan State has won seven of the past eight against Michigan. The Spartans probably don’t need help remembering how they’ve dominated the in-state series, but this would jog any failed memories.
According to SpartanNation.com‘s Hondo Carpenter, Michigan State has this in the football office lobby:

You’ve got the years, the scores, and, most proudly, “CHAMPIONS BEAT MICHIGAN.” Those are some fighting words, as if Michigan needed more incentive to beat the Spartans. Make no mistake about this, either, any visitor (including highly touted high school players) couldn’t miss this.
Each Michigan State win since 2008 is charted here. The only year missing is 2012 — Michigan’s lone win during the seven-out-of-eight streak. The Wolverines won 12-10 that year.
Of all the Spartans’ wins, the most recent had to be the most devastating.
Michigan fans would likely call this boastful (at the least). Michigan State fans will stay this is simply stating facts.
We’ll see if Michigan State will get to add another year to this when the Wolverines visit East Lansing on Oct. 29.
