Even with QB Brian Lewerke out for the rest of the season, don’t expect Messiah deWeaver to take his place in the quarterback race.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Spartans coach Mark Dantonio said there are no plans to take the redshirt off true freshman Messiah deWeaver. A former 4-star recruit from Dayton, Ohio, deWeaver enrolled in January.
“Our plans are not to take the redshirt off of Messiah deWeaver, but you never know what’s going to happen,” Dantonio said Tuesday.
