Michigan State travels to College Park, Md., Saturday night looking to end its longest losing streak in a decade in a prime-time matchup against Maryland.
Michigan State fell to 2-4 and 0-3 in the Big Ten with a 54-40 loss at home last Saturday to Northwestern. It was the fourth straight loss for the Spartans and marked the largest point total allowed in 10 seasons under head coach Mark Dantonio.
Maryland (4-2, 1-2) is led by fifth-year senior quarterback Perry Hills, but his status for the game is unknown because of a right shoulder injury. The Terrapins and first-year head coach DJ Durkin have already surpassed Maryland’s win total of last season.
