Mark Dantonio isn’t happy with his quarterback, and he’s making it public.
The Michigan State coach said before halftime of the Spartans’ Saturday game against Michigan that Tyler O’Connor checked out of a screen pass, throwing deep instead, on a Wolverines interception.
Mark Dantonio told ESPN that QB Tyler O'Connor checked out of a screen pass when he threw the late 2Q interception. A change-worthy moment.

Still Dantonio's fault … zero reason to run a play there.
And then he trucks his QB on television. https://t.co/Igd4tORU0q

Michigan State got the ball back trailing 24-10 with just more than 30 seconds to play in the first half. O’Connor went deep, but the pass was intercepted by Jourdan Lewis.
The Wolverines marched down the field to kick a field goal. They still lead 27-10.
