When the lights went out during Mark Dantonio’s postgame press conference Saturday, the symbolism was not lost on the Michigan State coach.
“Kind of how the day went,” he said.

Michigan State lost its sixth straight game Saturday, falling to rival Michigan 32-23 in East Lansing.
The Spartans fell behind 30-10 before creeping back into the game in the second half. Though most of the team stats were close, the Wolverines topped the Spartans in total yards, first downs, third- and fourth-down efficiency, and time of possession.
Oh, and the Paul Bunyan Trophy is headed to Ann Arbor for the first time since 2012.
Dantonio was visibly displeased at multiple points during the game.
