The Spartans could be without their defensive leader for another game.
Middle Linebacker Riley Bullough, who missed last week’s game against Wisconsin with an undisclosed injury, was listed at No. 2 on the depth chart Michigan State released Tuesday before the team’s Saturday night game at Indiana. Junior Shane Jones was listed as the starter at middle linebacker.
Jones got the start against the Badgers and played well in Bullough’s stead, racking up six tackles. Bullough’s younger brother, Byron, also got some snaps at middle linebacker.
But the Spartans certainly could have used Riley Bullough’s presence on the field in a 30-6 loss to the Badgers. A fifth-year senior, Bullough has appeared in 28 career games, making 101 tackles and five sacks.
