Rison announced he was leaving the Spartans earlier this month. As a freshman in 2017, Rison caught 19 passes for 224 yards in 12 games for Michigan State. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver from Ann Arbor, Mich., will have to sit out the 2018 season before he can suit up with the Wildcats.
Rison’s father, former NFL wide receiver Andre Rison, said that his son was leaving Mark Dantonio’s program due to a lack of playing time.
Land of 10’s Luke Srodulski broke down Michigan State’s depth at wide receiver without Rison heading into the 2018 season. The Spartans are still in good shape even without Rison.
