Well, that escalated quickly.
A day after Michigan State decided to not release a depth chart for the first time this season prior to its game against Michigan, a former Spartan quarterback got in on the rivalry week action.
Connor Cook, Michigan State’s quarterback from 2013-2015 and current Oakland Raider, posted a photo on Instagram of him in the face of a Wolverine, writing “its that week again! ScUM on the clock. #7outof8.”
The hashtag #7outof8 Cook included in his post is in reference to the Spartans winning seven of the past eight games against the Wolverines.
Cook was 3-0 as a starter against the Wolverines in his career and threw for 807 yards, three touchdowns and had an average quarterback rating of 134.7 in those three games against Michigan.
