Michigan State had two underclassmen declare for the 2017 NFL Draft following an underwhelming 2016 season.
The Spartans will certainly miss Malik McDowell and Montae Nicholson, but what does the NFL think about them? Well, despite the Spartans’ performance in 2016, pro scouts are eager to get a close at the duo. Judging by tweets sent by Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio on Thursday, both players have been invited to the NFL scouting combine.

This will be the first chance for both players to show off their athletic talents since the season ended, and they’ve undoubtedly been working hard behind the scenes to try to produce eye-popping numbers.
The NFL combine lasts from Feb. 28 until March 6 in Indianapolis, and will be televised on NFL Network.
