Two recently graduated Michigan State stars will return to East Lansing this weekend to serve as honorary captains for the Spartans’ game against Rutgers.
Quarterback Connor Cook and DE/LB Shilique Calhoun both play for the Oakland Raiders, who have a bye this week. With the weekend free, the duo to visit their alma mater.

Cook passed for 9,194 yards for Michigan State from 2012-15, throwing 71 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. Calhoun had 131 tackles, 27 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and an interception over the same four seasons.
During Calhoun and Cook’s final three seasons, the Spartans went 36-5, finished in the AP Poll’s top six all three years and earned victories in the Rose Bowl (2013 season) and Cotton Bowl (2014 season).
The Spartans and Scarlet Knights will kick off at noon ET Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
