Michigan State is one step closer to landing a commitment from Class of 2018 LB Kenny Bastida.
Bastida, a 247Sports 3-star recruit from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., announced via Twitter on Sunday that his recruitment was down to two schools: Michigan State and Pittsburgh.

The Spartans offered Bastida last month. The Deerfield Beach High School junior is the No. 34 outside linebacker in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite ranking. In addition to Michigan State and Pittsburgh, he has offers from schools including LSU, North Carolina, Penn State and Wisconsin.
The Spartans currently have six commits in their 2018 recruiting class, which ranks ninth in the Big Ten and 37th in the nation.
