Class of 2019 prospect Anthony Williams Jr. is headed to East Lansing, as the 3-star running back announced his commitment to the Spartans on Friday.
Williams (Bolingbrook, Ill.) shared the news of his commitment to Michigan State on Twitter.

Williams’ tweet includes two pictures of himself as well as a long message where he thanked his parents, trainers, coaches and others for helping him get to this juncture.
“Thanks to every coach who has recruited me to play at the next level,” Williams wrote on Twitter. “I appreciate every word of advice. After much prayer, thought [and] discussion with my family [esp. my big sis], I’m humbled [and] excited to announce that I am committing to Michigan State University!!!”
In addition to the Spartans, Williams was being recruited by Cincinnati, Ohio, Arkansas State, Bowling Green and Northern Illinois, among many others.
According to 247Sports 2019 composite rankings, the 6-foot, 191-pound Williams is the No. 16-ranked player in Illinois in the Class of 2019 and the No. 58-ranked running back.
With his commitment, Michigan State’s Class of 2019 ranks No. 19 in the nation and No. 3 in the Big Ten.
