MSU has zeroed in on Speed as one of several cornerbacks it hopes could join 3-star commit Josiah Scott to bolster a faltering secondary. Four-star Ambry Thomas and 3-star Christian Cumber have also been made priorities, while 3-star Yusuf Corker takes an official visit this weekend.
Speed is ranked the No. 43 cornerback in the 2017 class. He had also reported Big Ten offers from Indiana, Maryland, Michigan and Nebraska.
