Watch: Former Maryland forward Jake Layman throws down thunderous dunk during NBA Summer League debut
Former Maryland forward Jake Layman is off to a thunderous start to his NBA career with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Layman threw down an emphatic dunk during his NBA Summer League debut on Saturday and put Phoenix Suns rookie Marquese Chriss on a poster in transition.

To put the cherry on top of a SportsCenter top 10 play, it was also an and-one throw down.
Layman was technically drafted 47th overall by the Orlando Magic essentially for the Blazers, as the Magic had already agreed to trade the 47th pick to Portland beforehand. Layman averaged 11.6 points per game on 50 percent shooting, including 39.6 percent shooting from three-point range during his final season with the Terrapins.
