Perry Hills, D.J. Moore lift Maryland to 2-0 with rout of Florida International
The Perry Hills to D.J. Moore passing tandem made it look easy Friday night.
The QB-WR duo connected six times for 147 yards and two TDs in Maryland’s 41-14 win at Florida International — the second Big Ten team to win at FIU this season. Indiana won 34-13 on Sept. 1.
“Really pleased with how we came out and played,” Maryland coach D.J. Durkin said in a release on the team’s athletic website. “I thought our guys prepared really well, we traveled well. It was obviously our first road game together and more than anything, that was a big thing for us coming into it, just how we’re going to go through that as a team. It’s not easy getting road wins in college football at all, so for our guys to come out and respond the way they did, just really excited for them and pleased with how they did that.”

Hills finished 13-for-18 for 210 yards and 3 TDs in only three quarters of action.
Maryland will be back at Florida next week, as the Terrapins will have to win at Central Florida on Sept. 17 to get to 3-0. Maryland most recently won its first three games of the season in 2013, when it started 4-0.
