Friday afternoon, the Maryland Terrapins added 6-foot-4 wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. to its Class of 2018 with his commitment.

Demus Jr. is a three-star recruit from Washington D.C. and currently plays football at Friendship Academy. The tall, athletic pass-catcher is joining a Terrapins class that ranks No. 32 nationally and No. 8 within the Big Ten at the time of his commitment according to 247 Sports.
He is the lone wide receiver of the current eight-man class at Maryland, joining two four-star recruits and five other three-stars. The No. 11-ranked player in Washington D.C. had scholarship offers from Michigan State, Rutgers and Wisconsin within the Big Ten, among others nationally.
