Excited to add Tyler Bowen – a former Terp player and outstanding coach – to our staff!

Bowen just finished his second year with the Fordham Rams, serving as both offensive coordinator and the offensive line coach during the 2016 season. With the Terrapins, Bowen will hold just the latter role, while 2016 Maryland OL coach Dave Borbely will become a special assistant to head coach DJ Durkin.

Bowen graduated from Maryland in 2010 and served as a student/graduate assistant in the program when Ralph Friedgen was at the helm.
Under Bowen last season, the Rams were 12th among FCS teams in rushing offense (229.7 yards per game), 18th in passing offense (268.5 yards per game) and fourth in total offense (498.2 yards per game). The Rams also led the Patriot League in offense under Bowen.
Bowen’s time with Fordham also has gives him additional ties to the Big Ten:
Of course, can't leave out the fact that Bowen worked under current Penn St. OC Joe Moorhead while at Fordham.
