Maryland has had a Saturday to remember on the recruiting front.
Javon Leake, a 3-star running back prospect from Page High School (Greensboro, N.C.), became the third player to commit to the Terrapins in the span of an afternoon, announcing his decision via Twitter on Saturday evening.
Blessed and excited to say that I'm 100% committed to the University of Maryland ?? pic.twitter.com/TEmnf6qdyc

He wasn’t the first running back to announce his intentions to join Maryland, either. In-state running back Tayon Fleet-Davis revealed his intentions Saturday afternoon, and center Johnny Jordan kicked things off by committing to the Terrapins earlier today.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Leake is rated the No. 6 all-purpose back in the Class of 2017 and the No. 17 prospect from the state of North Carolina.
