Edsall served as the Huskies coach from 1999-2010 before leaving to take a job at Maryland. Edsall coached the Terps from 2011-2015 and went 22-34 before being fired halfway through the 2015 campaign. Edsall is currently serving as the director of football research with the Detroit Lions.
Edsall had success in his 12-year run at UConn, and he saw the program transition to FBS play. The Huskies won at least eight games in six of Edsall’s season in Stoors, and they went 33-19 in his last four seasons. UConn made the Fiesta Bowl in Edsall’s final season.
UConn parted ways with coach Bob Diaco on Monday.
