What a huge recruiting win for Maryland coach D.J. Durkin on National Signing Day.
4-star RB Cordarrian Richardson (Memphis, Tenn.) announced that he has picked Maryland. The running back, ranked No. 10 nationally at his position, shared his decision on Twitter with a video with Bleacher Report.
He listed Michigan State, Oklahoma and Ole Miss as his other top teams.

Richardson’s announcement is a huge surprise. 247 Sports had Ole Miss as the huge favorite on its crystal ball — and the Terrapins weren’t even listed as one of the leading contenders.
The news boosts Durkin’s already impressive 2017 class. The Terrapins are putting together a Top 20 class as of late Wednesday morning.
Richardson had been committed to Clemson, but he de-committed in December. He also visited Rutgers this past weekend before Wednesday’s surprising announcement.
