Maryland reeled in its third 4-star commitment to its 2018 recruiting class with the addition of OT Jaelyn Duncan on Thursday. He’s a big one, literally.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound Duncan is a native of Owings, Md. He ranks No. 15 among offensive tackles in the class-of-2018 on 247Sports. He’s also the 136th-best overall player in his class. The St. Frances Academy product places as the No. 7 overall recruit available from Maryland.
“I don’t think I would’ve made it along this journey with the support from my mom, guardians, siblings, friends and loved ones,” Duncan tweeted on Thursday. Would also like to thank all my coaches that have help me accomplish my goals as a student-athlete. Highly thankful for all the coaches that have recruited me throughout this long process. I would like to announce that I’m committed to the University of Maryland.”
Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State were among 13 other schools to send an offer Duncan’s way.
Duncan joins fellow 2018 in-state, 4-star commits DT Austin Fontaine and OG Evan Gregory. All three of them should make an immediate impact for the Terrapins once they’re officially suited up.
