Senior Bowl festivities kicked off this week, and it’s pretty clear two of the Iowa Hawkeyes invitees are doing their best to enjoy Mobile, Ala.
Hawkeyes cornerback Desmond King and defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson both showed off some dance moves at the Senior Bowl’s Welcome Reception on Monday.

Not only were they busting some pretty sweet moves, but King and Johnson also did it as a synchronized dance, giving the Big Ten seniors an early leg up on the rest of the players when it comes to style points. However, they weren’t the only ones from Iowa who were invited to the Senior Bowl. Quarterback C.J. Beathard also accepted an invitation to play in the game but didn’t participate in King and Johnson’s dance.
Johnson, Beathard and King are just three of the 16 Big Ten players who have accepted an invite to play in the 2017 Senior Bowl, and they are looking to improve their stock for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft. According to NFL draft analysts in early December, King is expected to come off the board early in the draft, while Johnson is projected to be a fifth-round pick and Beathard will most likely be a late-round selection.
However, if dance moves play into NFL draft stock, King and Johnson’s projected draft stock could definitely rise after this year’s Senior Bowl.
