IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa held its annual senior day ceremony before Saturday’s kickoff against Purdue.
The Hawkeyes honored 18 seniors, who were introduced before their Kinnick Stadium finale. Since the start of the 2014 season, the Hawkeyes have won 33 games and qualified for a bowl each season. Their 21 Big Ten wins entering the game Saturday are the fourth most of any senior class won under coach Kirk Ferentz.
The seniors include DT Nathan Bazata, OL Ike Boettger, LB Bo Bower, RB James, Butler, DL Daniel Gaffney, DT Jake Hulett, LB Josey Jewell, LS Tyler Kluver, FB Drake Kulick, OL Boone Myers, LB Ben Niemann, TE Peter Pekar, SS Miles Taylor, WR Matt VandeBerg, RB Akrum Wadley, OLB Kevin Ward, OL Sean Welsh and TE Jon Wisnieski.
Iowa has one game remaining at Nebraska next Friday and a bowl game in late December or early January.
