TAMPA Fla. — Several thousand Iowa fans flocked to the Hawkeye Huddle at the Channelside Bay Plaza on Sunday to enjoy the warm temperatures and participate in the accompanying pep rally the day before the Outback Bowl.
The radio broadcast team of Gary Dolphin and Ed Podolak warmed up the crowd, and later were joined on stage by UI President Bruce Harreld and athletic director Gary Barta. The University of Iowa Marching Band performed to cap the two-hour event.
The Hawkeyes will play No. 17 Florida in the Outback Bowl on Monday, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
