Jarrod Uthoff is going to get a shot in the NBA.
According to a report from Yahoo’s Shams Charania, the former Iowa star will sign a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks. Uthoff has spent his first professional season in the D-League so far, but that should soon change.

In 35 D-League games this season, the 6-foot-9 forward is averaging 10.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
Uthoff averaged 18.9 points per game at Iowa last season and hit 38.2 percent of his 3-pointers. In 100 career games with the Hawkeyes, Uthoff had a 13.0 scoring average and was one of the program’s best shooters of the last decade.
He’s hoping to become the second Big Ten rookie product to have success in Dallas. Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell has been able to stick with the Mavs since joining the team in late January.
