Remember when Iowa’s Keith Duncan kicked a game-winning field goal to beat Jim Harbaugh and the No. 3-ranked Michigan Wolverines a season ago?
You almost undoubtedly do, but if you don’t, here it is again.
Of course, the actual field goal itself went between the uprights, shattering Michigan’s then-perfect season.
But, what if the Hawkeyes were to attempt it one more time with a pair of incoming freshmen basketball players instead? Would it turn out the same?
Take a look.

It seems as though that Connor McCaffery, the son of current Hawkeyes head basketball coach Fran McCaffery, and Jack Nunge, a 6-foot-9 power forward, may have found a new sport to take up just in case basketball doesn’t work out. Connor was the holder, while Nunge was the kicker in this scenario, for what it’s worth.
Connor, a 4-star recruit, is ranked by 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 1 player coming out of the state of Iowa, while Nunge, a 3-star, ranks as the No. 9 player from Indiana.
The two were at Kinnick Field on Friday as part of the class of 2021 freshman class picture.
