Now this commitment seems to have come out of nowhere.
On Monday night, Nico Ragaini, a 6-foot-0 WR from West Haven, Conn., committed to Iowa. Ragaini, a WR in the Class of 2018, had seven scholarship offers according to 247Sports. None of those seven were from Iowa.
The Hawkeyes stealthily recruited '18 CT WR Nico Ragaini. The offered scholarship Sunday night. He accepted it. He'll enroll Thursday. He spoke with HN about it Monday https://t.co/phjw2T56NH pic.twitter.com/YDp0qKDA6x

As Rob Howe mentioned in his tweet, it took until Sunday night for the Hawkeyes to even offer Ragaini the scholarship. It didn’t take look for him to accept and he’ll be enrolling on Thursday.
Ragaini, who isn’t ranked by 247Sports, had scholarship offers from Albany, Army, Boston College, Brown, New Hampshire, Princeton and Yale.
For Iowa, its 2018 class now has 20 commits overall and two WR commits. Prior to Ragaini’s commitment, the Hawkeyes owned the No. 35-ranked class in the country according to 247Sports, which ranked No. 7 in the Big Ten.
