Iowa added to its 2018 recruiting class in the final week before National Signing Day. Logan Klemp, an in-state linebacker, committed to the Hawkeyes on Friday evening.
Klemp, from Jewell, Iowa, committed shortly after picking up an offer from Kirk Ferentz’s program.
“Beyond blessed to receive a scholarship offer from the University of Iowa… and extremely excited to announce my commitment to the HAWKEYES!!!!” Klemp wrote on Twitter.

The Hawkeyes are the only Power 5 team to offer Klemp a scholarship. The 2018 linebacker was also considering South Dakota State, Northern Iowa and North Dakota State among other FCS schools. Klemp (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) is not ranked in the 247Sports composite system.
Iowa now has 21 commits in its 2018 class, 17 of whom have already signed their national letters of intent. Klemp is one of four Hawkeyes commits expected to sign with the program during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
