On Friday, the Iowa Hawkeyes received a boost to their defensive line in 2019.
Jake Karchinski, a defensive end from De Pere, Wis., committed to the Hawkeyes and announced it on Twitter:

Karchinski is not ranked in the 247Sports composite rankings. He has 13 scholarship offers and the Hawkeyes were the only Big Ten team to give him an offer.
He also was a part of an interesting Twitter feud between Iowa and Iowa State.
Iowa’s 2019 class now ranks No. 19 in the country and No. 5 in the Big Ten. Karchinski is the lone defensive end in the Hawkeyes class. He is also the ninth member to verbally commit.
