Talking to reporters before the Iowa basketball team banquet Tuesday, guard Isaiah Moss all but guaranteed he’ll return to the Hawkeyes after testing the NBA draft waters.
““I’ll be back for sure. For sure,” Moss told the The Des Moines Register. ““If I don’t get drafted first.”
Moss declared for the 2018 NBA draft on April 3 but did not hire an agent, meaning he’s eligible to return to school after the NBA Draft Combine. His decision is rooted in the ability to receive feedback from pro scouts, although he already has a sense of where he needs to improve: ball-handling and shooting.
“It’s good to hear it from them,” Moss said.
Moss, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard, recently finished his redshirt sophomore season with the Hawkeyes, where he finished fourth on the team in scoring at 11.1 points per game.
