After rushing for 115 yards in the Outback Bowl on Monday, Iowa running back Akrum Wadley is considering entering the 2017 NFL Draft.
Wadley told reporters Monday that he is “50-50” on whether to forgo his final year of eligibility. He said he will discuss the decision with his parents and announce his intentions soon.
Wadley finished his junior season with 1,081 yards rushing, joining LeShun Daniels to form the first running back duo in Iowa history to both surpass 1,000 yards in a year.
After rushing for 186 yards as a freshman and 496 yards as a sophomore, Wadley broke out in 2016, emerging as one of the Big Ten’s most dangerous running backs.
Wadley is not considered an elite NFL prospect.
