Dillon Doyle won’t be going far away to realize his dream. He’s staying close to home and will play for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Doyle, an outside linebacker from Iowa City West High School, announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes via Twitter on Monday. The 247Sports Composite rates Doyle as a 3-star prospect.
He is also the son of Hawkeyes director of strength and conditioning, Chris Doyle.
“It has always been a dream of mine to put on the black and gold and play for Coach (Kirk) Ferentz,” Doyle wrote in a note shared on Twitter. “With that being said, I couldn’t be more excited and proud to announce that I’m committing to the University of IOWA to pursue my academic and athletic goals. GO HAWKS!”
