Iowa forward Dale Jones received some good news on Thursday. Jones will have two more years of eligibility with the Hawkeyes after being granted a sixth season by the NCAA, the program announced in a press release.
Jones, who transferred to Iowa in 2015, played only six games with the Hawkeyes last season after sustaining his second ACL injury in three years last December. His first knee injury occurred before his sophomore season at Tyler Community College (Texas).
Jones averaged 5.5 points and shot 45 percent from three-point land during the first six games of his Iowa career.
This decision also leaves Iowa without any more available scholarships for its 2017 class, according to HawkeyeNation.com’s Rob Howe.
