IOWA CITY, Iowa — Iowa concluded a perfect nonconference season by beating North Texas 31-14 on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to vault the Hawkeyes into the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, which was released on Sunday.
Iowa scored the final 21 points Saturday against North Texas to pull away for the easier-than-it-seemed victory. Iowa received two votes in the AP poll following a 44-41 overtime win over Iowa State on Sept. 9.
