IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa football program has updated its official roster, adding six newcomers and removing three players from the final 2017 roster.
Wide receivers Adrian Falconer and Matt Quarells and offensive lineman Lucas LeGrand were not on the roster. In 2016, LeGrand (6-foot-5, 295 pounds) started two games at center and appeared in 10 other games. He played in two games as a junior last season.
As a junior, Falconer (6-1, 192) played in one game in 2017 after seeing action in 13 games in 2015 and 2016. He recovered an onside kick against Maryland in 2015.
Quarells (6-1, 195) joined the Hawkeyes late in training camp as a graduate transfer from New Mexico. He never played a snap and transferred to Southern Illinois, where he will be a fifth-year senior.
The Iowa athletics department confirmed their departures from the football program Monday afternoon.
Incoming scholarship players Spencer Petras, Dillon Doyle, Nico Ragaini and Daviyon Nixon all have enrolled at Iowa and will participate in the offseason program. Walk-ons Colton Dinsdale and Nick Anderson will do the same. All will compete with the Hawkeyes during spring football practice.
As for the newcomers, here are their numbers and measurements:
