While other Big Ten teams such as Ohio State and Rutgers were playing in their spring games on Saturday afternoon, Iowa football was partaking in one of its final practices before its spring game this upcoming Friday.
For the second straight season, Iowa is playing its spring game on a Friday night. Prior to last season, the Hawkeyes did not hold a traditional spring game. Instead, the team would do drills in front of its fans on a Saturday afternoon. But with its second consecutive spring game less than a week away, the Hawkeyes went to work on the practice field on Saturday.
The Iowa football Twitter account released an intense video with highlights from that practice.

The Hawkeyes will start their season at home on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Northern Illinois.
